Practice Nurses and Treatment Room Nurses
Services are by appointment and are detailed in table at end of this section. Practice Nurses are available full time at Pitteuchar. They are available at Thornton Clinic on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30 a.m. 12.30 midday.
Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
There is a Mental Health Nurse available Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week. She is a trained mental health nurse who works closely with your doctors and other team members to help you overcome any difficulties in your life. Collect a leaflet ‘How Are You?’. Please make an appointment with reception. Patients can self-refer to this service.
District Nurse Team
Provide home nursing care for those who are housebound or unable to attend the surgery. If you wish to see the district nurse for the first time phone NHS Primary Care Reception on 773507. Health Visitors
Principally involved in the health and welfare of children and the elderly. To make an appointment to see them phone reception on 773507. For immunisation clinic appointments phone practice reception 771177.
